Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a comprehensive background check. GENERAL PURPOSE: Provides professional nursing services and coordinates the health care services program provided for Detention Center residents and staff. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direction of the Detention Center Physician and the general supervision of the Facility Nurse. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Provides direction/supervision/coordination of all Detention Center staff involved in providing medical services to detainees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direction/supervision/coordination of all Detention Center staff involved in providing medical services to residents. Has good organizational skills. Working along with File Clerk to obtain and maintain individual health and medical records, including information from parents and/or guardians and health care personnel outside the facility. Conducts training to Officers and Residents in areas related to personal hygiene and health. Administers first aid and other medical care within the limitations of his/her qualifications. Has a good understanding of the health care needs of adolescents and the components that are involved in a total adolescents health care system. Works with related agencies in the interest of the child's medical well-being. All other duties as assigned. Employee is compliant with scheduled work hours.


LPN experience is preferred. Must be comfortable in a juvenile detention setting.

Education Required

Must have and maintain a current Oklahoma RN or LPN license.



Hours per Week:
Minimum: 40 dependent upon facility need.
