Description

The Oklahoma County Facilities Management Department is currently recruiting for Building Technicians II positions. Shifts for this position will vary, hiring for nights, evenings, and days.These skilled, experienced and qualified candidates will be hired to assist the Facility Department Team with various , maintenance projects including the following: installing, repairing and servicing industrial, commercial and environmental control systems; plumbing systems and equipment within the Facilities Management Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *Makes routine rounds throughout the court house complex ensuring routine checks are completed on schedule *Studies system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as motors, pumps, fans, switches, ducts, or pipes. *Discusses system malfunctions with users to isolate problems, and inspects system to determine malfunctions in component parts. *Adjusts system controls to settings recommended by vendor to prepare to perform tests. *Tests performance of air and hydronic systems to isolate problems and determine where adjustments are necessary. *Opens or closes louvers in system ductwork or adjusts flow control valves in piping to balance system. *Performs maintenance and replacement of plumbing, mechanical and environmental control systems including equipment, piping, valves, traps, controls, and pumps. *Cuts, punches, flanges, shears and solders metal ducts and parts. *Lubricates fans, motors, control units and other mechanical equipment. *Installs air and water filters in completed assembly. *Performs scheduled visual inspections of systems and logs/records the condition. *Performs other routine building maintenance tasks. ** OPEN UNTIL ALL POSITIONS ARE FILLED**

Experience

Four years experience or one year experience with possible trade school background. Candidates with an overall knowledge and has skill sets for building maintenance is highly preferred.
