Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license (please include number on release of information authorization form). Must submit educational documentation showing completion of High School Education (GED, Transcript, or copy of High School Diploma). Must pass a pre-employment background check and post-offer comprehensive background investigation, drug test, and physical screening. New employees are usually assigned to the 3:00 p.m.-11:15 p.m. or 11:00 p.m.-7:15 a.m. shifts. All employees may be required to work contingency (mandatory overtime/double shift) as needed. Responsible for assisting the Detention Supervisor's management of an assigned shift, including the supervision of Detention Residents in secure detention. Responsible for the residents' needs as described in the Policy and Procedures. Transports juvenile clients. Performs facility security related tasks, as assigned by Shift Supervisors, including operation of building security devices. The Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center is a secured detention facility.


Preference of one (1) year of experience working with juveniles or security.

Education Required

High school diploma or GED. Please submit a copy of the diploma/certificate. Verification of education must be submitted prior to interview consideration.
