Description

SUMMARY: Keeps building in clean and orderly condition, supervises inmate crew, and operates mechanical equipment, as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *Works the schedule, as assigned, and is on-time arriving and leaving work.*Supervises a crew of inmate workers, directing and monitoring their work, and insuring compliance with all rules, according to the contract with the Department of Corrections (DOC). Understands, adheres to and applies DOC rules and guidelines at all times. *Empties trash containers and appropriately disposes of trash. *Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, and other related maintenance activities. *Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. *Cleans snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks and other areas. *Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers. *Provides exceptional customer service to visitors to the facilities as well as workers in the facilities. *Performs other tasks/duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May supervise inmate crews and community service workers.

Education Required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, and six months general maintenance experience; or one to three months related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of paints, maintenance and plumbing desirable. A valid Oklahoma Driver's License, Class D, is required.
