Field Appraiser, Assessor

The Field Appraiser will go out into the field and collect property data on properties that need to be reinspected to update database characteristics. The Field Appraiser will then enter that field data into the County’s database warehouse software for it to be utilized by the Valuation and Market Analysts. The Field Appraiser will collect building material data, square footage and size data, real estate characteristic data, and more while conducting their inspections. The Field Appraiser will also be responsible for processing real property permits that are sent into the County. These permits will be identified, categorized, then processed by the Field Appraiser. • Identify permit type that arrives to the office • Identify if permit requires a field inspection • Accurately identify and execute action items associated with incoming permits • Interact with permits using the appropriate County computer software • Locate properties within Oklahoma County that require field inspections • Prepare paperwork/technology for visits to properties that require field inspections • Communicate via telephone or e-communication with property owners to schedule field visits • Communicate purpose of field inspections to property owners • Map and plan routes to ensure most efficient use of time and resources

• A valid driver’s license
• Prior appraisal experience or experience related real estate fields appreciated, but not required

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
